Our real 5-Point Quality Filter, turned into a checklist you can run on any supplement, not just the ones we've reviewed. Print it or check it off online.

This is the same 5-Point Quality Filter we run on every product we review on this site, turned into a checklist you can run yourself on any supplement, not just the ones we’ve covered. Check each box as you go, or print it and keep it next to your laptop while you research a product. It won’t tell you whether to buy something; it will tell you whether the seller has given you enough real information to decide for yourself.

Run this on any supplement before you buy

1. Ingredient Evidence25% of the score

How to check it yourself: Search the active ingredient’s name plus “clinical trial” or “RCT.” Real human research, at the dose used, beats a long ingredient list every time. A study on rats or a test tube is not the same as a study on people.

Does a real human trial back this ingredient, at a dose anywhere near what’s in the product?
2. Formula Transparency20% of the score

How to check it yourself: Look at the Supplement Facts panel. If you see a “proprietary blend” with only a combined milligram total, you cannot know how much of any single ingredient you’re actually getting, even if that ingredient is well-studied.

Is every active ingredient’s amount individually listed, or hidden inside a blend total?
3. Safety & Tolerability20% of the score

How to check it yourself: Check for real drug-interaction warnings (blood thinners, thyroid medication, diabetes medication are common ones), a known allergy rate if it’s a topical, and whether the product discloses this itself or you had to dig for it.

Does the product’s own page disclose real cautions, or only vague “consult your doctor” boilerplate?
4. Value & Guarantee20% of the score

How to check it yourself: Find the vendor’s actual refund policy page (not just a badge on the sales page) and check: how many days, from what date, does it cover opened bottles, who pays return shipping.

Have you read the real refund policy page, not just the countdown timer on the sales page?
5. Brand Trust & Manufacturing15% of the score

How to check it yourself: Look for a real, identifiable company behind the product (not just a brand name), and check if the same formula is sold under multiple confusingly-similar domain names, a common pattern worth knowing about.

Can you identify who actually makes and stands behind this product?
0 of 5 checked — a product that clears all 5 has given you real information to work with. A product that clears 2 or fewer is asking for your trust without earning it.

Personally researches and edits every supplement review here using the 5-Point Quality Filter: transcribing the printed Supplement Facts label, sourcing peer-reviewed human evidence (PubMed / PMC / NIH), and checking clinical dosing before any verdict. Our reviews are evidence-and-label analyses, not medical advice; material safety points (drug interactions, contraindications) are written conservatively and flagged for a qualified clinician or pharmacist to confirm. Conflict-of-interest: pages may contain affiliate links that can earn a commission, which never changes a rating. Corrections & editorial contact: smileysocial@digiprospark.com.
